Writing Strategies PD- Book Study
This online session will explore Jennifer Serravallo’s book Writing Strategies. The resource contains more than 300 strategies to support writing goals based on student need. The session will give an overview of the book resource as well as share some strategies for adapting these writing tools to remote teaching and learning. These best practices support the needs of all learners- including ELLs who may be struggling with writing concepts. There is also an opportunity to earn an extra hour of CTLE credit in a self-paced follow-up activity that demonstrates the strategies addressed in this session. This session is appropriate for teachers of students in grades K-5. *Participants who register before August 7th will be mailed a free copy of the book to meet the needs of this session. You will need to complete a separate form that includes your home mailing address to receive the resource. **We ask that participants who register for this book study not register for the Reading Strategies session in order to afford these unique opportunities to a wide range of participants.
