In this six-week, twelve-hour asynchronous course, you will be able to

meet the following objectives:

  • Describe the three levels of academic language.
  • Implement research-based strategies for selecting and teaching

academic vocabulary to ELs in varied ways.

  • Explore strategies for supporting ELs’ academic language development

at the word, sentence, and discourse levels.

  • Develop strategies for collaborating with colleagues to support development of ELs’ academic language.

*Recurring dates and times are for registration purposes.  This PD is Asynchronous beginning on January 23 and ends March 8.

***To earn full CTLEs, please only register if you are willing to complete full requirements. No partial credit will be given.
