Mirrors & Windows – Why “The Story” Matters for ELLs and Everyone

This mini-series will introduce you to several books with main characters, story lines, and themes that promote social-emotional development in the areas of belonging and empathy. The series will include: an introduction to the importance of telling stories from multiple perspectives, a sampling of book titles with teaching strategies that focus on the development of belonging and empathy, and time for discussion & collaboration.
