● Develop awareness of the origins of critical race theory, culturally relevant teaching, and the societal connections between the theoretical frameworks
● Explore one’s own experiences, attitudes, assumptions, values, and beliefs around race, language, culture, gender, and class and the impact on teaching and learning approaches
● Learn and share strategies for incorporating CRT and culturally responsive teaching
practices into classroom and school settings to engage historically marginalized students, in particular English language learners
