In this asynchronous workshop series, participants will review and reflect upon topics relevant to understanding, supporting, and engaging Newcomer students and their families.
This is a self-paced workshop consisting of five separate activities offered on a Learning Menu.
Participants can earn 2 CTLE credits for the completion of each menu activity or up to 10 CTLE credits for completing the entire menu.
Learning Menu topics are:
“Who are our Newcomers?”
“Welcoming Newcomers to a Safe and Thriving School Environment”
“High-Quality Instruction for Newcomer Students”
“How do we support Newcomers’ Social Emotional Needs?”
“Establishing Partnerships with Families”
A link to the Learning Menu will be provided to participants on July 10th with access to the menu until August 31st.
