It is imperative that the curriculum and instructional decisions made by district leadership be grounded in the work of sociocultural competence. This requires that entities serving those educational communities are actively using this lens as materials, resources, and assessments are conceptualized to meet the needs of emergent bilingual students. Participants in this session will have an opportunity to interact with research and recommendations regarding how best to serve linguistically and culturally marginalized student communities.

Date: Tue Sept 27,2022 8:30am to 9:30am
